A New Approach for Entry Level Recruitment: Protective Service Officer and Police Officer recruits
The AFP has created an applicant register of interest of Protective Service Officer and Police Officers (ACT Policing). This means that you can register your interest in being considered for an entry level recruit position at any time!

To be eligible for consideration you must:
- be an Australian citizen
- be over the age of 18 – you can still register if you are not yet 18 but we will be unable to progress you through the recruitment process until your 18th birthday.
- hold a valid driver’s licence. Provisional (P Plates) and Automatic (only) licences will be accepted
- have a year 12 education, or Year 10 with a trade certificate or Year 10 with a Cert IV and/or equivalent. Tertiary qualifications are also welcome.
All you need to do is create a profile in our recruitment system and answer a few simple questions. After successfully registering we will be in touch about your next steps – which will be either fitness testing or sitting the AFP Entrance Exam.
